P90X Workout Week 1 Day 1 Breakfast

Breakfast at 8:30 am after waking up at 8:00 am:

  • 2 whole eggs scrambled
  • 1 cup low fat cottage cheese
  • 1 Spicy V8
  • 1 Coffee with 1 tablespoon cream
Notes:
I’m making a point to try and eat within the first hour of waking up to get my metabolism going. I’m also trying to focus on eating mainly protein.

Healthy Taco Salad

Here’s a simple and filling Taco salad I made over the weekend while I was preparing to get into the P90X groove (and by “groove” I mean death march into fitness.)

Makes 4 servings.

Ingredients:

Directions:
Brown the turkey. Once the turkey is browned add cumin, red pepper, and chili powder to taste. Mix turkey with rest of ingredients in a bowl using the salsa as a dressing.
Viola!

My name is Ben Bishop and I’m a 31 year old freelance software engineer that has a long history of wanting to be in awesome shape, but has never put all of the elements together successfully. Time and time again, the alchemy of the right diet and the right workout program has eluded me. I hope P90X changes that.

It is my goal for MyP90XWorkout.com to be a living journal as I find out if P90X is truly the answer I have been looking for.
